Advancing NewSpace Conference | The Space Frontier Foundation

"Honor the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing by spending 4 days (Jul 17-20, '09) discussing the latest entrepreneurial space industry events at the NewSpace 2009 Conference, the NASA Research Park, Mountain View, CA. The Space Frontier Foundation has extended online registration until July 10th, 2009 for space professionals and enthusiasts everywhere. Attendees will hear giants in the industry speak, and have access to intriguing exhibits ranging from NewSpace media and entertainment to the latest technologies. Network with fellow enthusiasts at the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS), Teachers in Space, and the National Space Society (NSS) booths or pick up gear at the Space Frontier Storefront. You will also learn about the launch of the International Space University’s new MBA program at the ISU exhibit."

Innovation in Aerospace | A Workshop

The Workshop examined the challenges, lessons, and applicability of the information technology industry's practices for the aerospace community and the experience that innovative firms have had in working with government agencies. Two of the presentations have been put online after the event. Panel I covered "Introducing Silicon Valley to Aerospace" and Panel II covered "Public-Private Partnerships".

NASA Earth System Science at 20 Symposium

"A three-day symposium bringing together researchers, managers, and policy makers to examine the 20-year history of the NASA Earth system science program and its future. Event Sponsors/Hosts: NASA's Science Mission Directorate, Earth Science Division, Washington, DC, in collaboration with the National Academy of Sciences' Ocean Studies Board, Space Studies Board, and Board on Earth Sciences and Resources." There is significant linkage of the agenda of this event to climate change monitoring with potential commercial space applications. Open to the media and the public.
