Since its inception, Global Space Technology Forum has brought together over 3,000 leading industry professionals – including director level representatives from regional space, satellite and remote sensing projects and experts from worldwide space organisations – helping organisations build relationships and secure contracts in the growing regional space and satellite market.

Our goal at Global Space Technology Forum is to make sure we provide an opportunity for you to meet key decision makers from across the region’s space and satellite developments – over 25 of these were present at Global Space Technology Forum 2009. Advancing NewSpace Conference | The Space Frontier Foundation

"Honor the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing by spending 4 days (Jul 17-20, '09) discussing the latest entrepreneurial space industry events at the NewSpace 2009 Conference, the NASA Research Park, Mountain View, CA. The Space Frontier Foundation has extended online registration until July 10th, 2009 for space professionals and enthusiasts everywhere. Attendees will hear giants in the industry speak, and have access to intriguing exhibits ranging from NewSpace media and entertainment to the latest technologies. Network with fellow enthusiasts at the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS), Teachers in Space, and the National Space Society (NSS) booths or pick up gear at the Space Frontier Storefront. You will also learn about the launch of the International Space University’s new MBA program at the ISU exhibit."

Innovation in Aerospace | A Workshop

The Workshop examined the challenges, lessons, and applicability of the information technology industry's practices for the aerospace community and the experience that innovative firms have had in working with government agencies. Two of the presentations have been put online after the event. Panel I covered "Introducing Silicon Valley to Aerospace" and Panel II covered "Public-Private Partnerships".

NASA Earth System Science at 20 Symposium

"A three-day symposium bringing together researchers, managers, and policy makers to examine the 20-year history of the NASA Earth system science program and its future. Event Sponsors/Hosts: NASA's Science Mission Directorate, Earth Science Division, Washington, DC, in collaboration with the National Academy of Sciences' Ocean Studies Board, Space Studies Board, and Board on Earth Sciences and Resources." There is significant linkage of the agenda of this event to climate change monitoring with potential commercial space applications. Open to the media and the public.

CubeSat Community Website - Developers' Workshop 2009

The next CubeSat Developer's Workshop is coming to San Luis Obispo, Apr 22-25th. New "nanosat" development and flight opportunities are emerging within the academic, industry and government sectors, and are now global in scope. The workshop concludes with an Aerospace Expo outreach event for students of all ages and teachers.

Space 3.0 - Emerging Commercial Applications for Small Satellites

“Radical advances in small satellite technology are fast approaching, which will allow innovators to create from today’s “garages” powerful consumer and commercial nanosatellites. This new era of entrepreneurial space will create a market where companies and educational groups can design, build and operate small, highly functional spacecraft (eSats). Space Investment Summit (SIS) 6

SIS-6, the next in the series of Summits will be titled “The NewSpace Frontier: Down-to-Earth Market Opportunities” and address the connection between the existing hospitality industry and the emerging space tourism industry. Presentations will focus on the latest developments in the rapidly growing space tourism industry (vehicles, funding, destinations, timeframes, numbers of customers and more), as well as new cross-industry business opportunities. Space Investment Summit (SIS) 5

SIS-5 hosted entrepreneurs and investors at the Luxe Hotel. The Summit welcomed keynote speaker, Steve Jervetson, Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jervetson, a leading venture firm with affiliate offices around the world. In addition, the Summit featured nine pre-screened entrepreneurial business plans from companies with significant growth potential. Space Investment Summit (SIS) 4

SIS 4 hosted entrepreneurs and investors at the Capital Hilton Hotel to engage in a frank dialogue about the best investment opportunities in new space-related ventures. SIS-3 was the third investor gathering in a series of Summits that are helping build global opportunities for seed and early stage investment in space-related commerce, expanding funding resources for entrepreneurial start-up and growing companies.” "It [also] brought together industry representatives, entrepreneurs, and experts – all with the latest information about relevant investment opportunities in space commerce.
