Space 3.0 - Emerging Commercial Applications for Small Satellites

“Radical advances in small satellite technology are fast approaching, which will allow innovators to create from today’s “garages” powerful consumer and commercial nanosatellites. This new era of entrepreneurial space will create a market where companies and educational groups can design, build and operate small, highly functional spacecraft (eSats). Join SEF Spaceworks, Stanford University, Aviation Week and other sponsors on March 24 in Palo Alto, California for a unique workshop exploring the emerging commercial and educational uses and applications for these eSats. Space is limited so register now.”

Sustainable Urban Development: Facing Challenges in the SF Bay Region with Support by the NASA Ames Research Center

“The key workshop goal is to explore and document how NASA technologies, such as remote sensing, climate modeling, high end computing and visualization along with NASA assets such as Earth Observing Satellites and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles can contribute to creating and managing a sustainable urban environment. This will be accomplished by bringing together NASA scientists, city planners, local, state and federal resource agencies, utilities, businesses, and others who are involved in managing aspects of the urban environment. The focus will be on the greater Bay Area, but many aspects of the workshop will be applicable to urban management at the local, regional and global scales.”
