Written by a highly-popular marketing guru and considered by some to be an annoyingly-short bit of motivational literature for social entrepreneurs. We found it to be short, repetitious, but still interesting. Gogin’s definition of a “Tribe” is simple but memorable…tribe = idea + leader + followers, and he expands on that throughout the book. What caught my interest was the comparison of developing markets and developing movements and their interaction. Tribes can start and grow movements that can impact markets (see article by Rao in the CSG) some of which has been seen in entrepreneurial space and will likely be important for the future. Your thoughts on this concept are solicited.
